7. How do I use WinFirewallLogAnalyser?
First, ensure you have a Windows Firewall log to analyse. You may wish to analyse your own PC firewall, (in which case you should enable the firewall with logging turned on), or you can choose to analyse another PC/server firewall log (in which case copy the log file to your PC). The first time you run the application, click on "Configure Settings" and enter your Windows Firewall log path and filename - or let the application find it for you by clicking "Detect Now".

Once this is done, you're ready to go. Click "File" and then "Run".

If the application has any suggestions to make, you'll be alerted by the red cross icon. Click the icon to see suggestions. Alternatively you can check service descriptions in "Edit" > "Settings" > "Services".

8. How do I update the network services and protocols database?
Check for any updates to the application on this website. If you have the latest version already, you can download the latest services database from here, and the latest protocols database from here. Copy them into your application installation folder (Usually C:\Program Files (x86)\ZedLan) overwriting the files already there. Your application folder can be found by clicking on "About" then "Help" and looking at the "Path" value.
